The safety, health and well-being of our students, staff and community continues to remain our highest priority at the Roosevelt School District. As a result of a thorough review of the Maricopa County COVID-19 health data for our South Phoenix community -- we have made the decision to remain in a virtual learning setting at least until Winter Break. The most recent community level COVID data shows that there has been an increase in the positivity rates within some of our community’s zip codes over the past two weeks. Based on the Maricopa County Health recommendations, this increase in positivity rate is supportive of only virtual learning. Although our school district covers three zip codes and the data varies between the zip codes, we continue to make decisions based on the district as a whole. Therefore, the district believes that it is in the best and safest interest of all our students, staff and community to remain in a virtual learning setting. Our team will continue to prepare to offer an in-person learning setting option in January. For additional details and information please visit our return to school page.
