The Roosevelt School District is actively planning to offer in-person learning once the health metrics established by the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, specifically for our district community, are supportive of a safe return.  We are also committed to continuing to offer an all-virtual learning option for students through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.  In order to appropriately plan for the safe re-opening of our schools to in-person learning, we need updated and accurate information from families on their desired Learning Setting.

Please review the following important information below and complete one survey for each one of your children by Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020.

Return to School Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • When will in-person learning be available?

  • What safety protocols will be in place?

Virtual Learning Setting

  • Virtual Learning Setting

Students will attend school every day from home through a structured, socially engaging online platform led by Roosevelt teachers. Virtual learning schedules may be adjusted.

Just as with the In-Person Learning Setting, every effort will be made to provide a consistent experience. Students choosing the Virtual Learning Setting may be assigned a different teacher as we balance class sizes.

In-Person Learning Setting

  • In-Person Learning Setting

Students will attend their school every day for a full-day, in-person. We anticipate that class sizes may fluctuate depending on the level of participation. Space between desks will be maximized, and physical distancing practices will be emphasized.

While every effort will be made to provide a consistent experience, students choosing the In-Person Learning Setting may be assigned a different teacher as we balance class sizes.  Depending on the number of students selecting the In-Person Learning Setting, it may be necessary to transition utilizing a hybrid model.  The hybrid model would be a combination of both in-person learning and virtual learning from home, such as 2 days each week in-person and 3 days each week at home.

Parents choosing the In-Person Learning Setting for their child will be required to sign a COVID-19 Parental Acknowledgment and Disclosure (Parental Acknowledgment and Disclosure form in Spanish) to ensure safety procedures are followed by all.
