Standards based math instruction is the focus of the math curriculum in Roosevelt School District. In classrooms througout the district, teachers utilize various resources to support instruction.
ST Math starts by teaching the foundational concepts visually, then connects the ideas to the symbols and language. With visual learning, students are better equipped to tackle unfamiliar math problems, recognize patterns, and build conceptual understanding.
In conjunction with Phoenix Union High School District, Roosevelt School district offers opportunities for eighth grade students to take Algebra for high school credit. If your student is interested, please reach out to your student's school staff.
