  • 21st Century After-School Programs

    The primary goal of the the 21st CCLC is a federally funded program supported by the Arizona Department of Education for out-of-school time programs in Arizona, which include before school, afte1st CCLC Program is to supplement the education of children who attend low-performing schools and live in high-poverty areas with academic, artistic and cultural enrichment during out-of-school time hours, so that they may attain the skills necessary to meet state core curriculum content standards. In addition, the centers must offer literacy and other educational services to the families of the participating students weekly.

    The 21st CCLC program provides students with standards based academic enrichment classes and opportunities with focused assistance in math, reading and writing. The program also provides before/after school homework help and enrichment classes such as: art, sports, dance, theater and many more.     The Federal Programs department is please to announce grant applications for 21st Century Community Learning Centers for the following schools will be submitted:

    • Cesar Chavez Leadership Academy 
    • John R. Davis Elementary School
    • John F. Kennedy Elementary School
    • V.H. Lassen Elementary School
