Hi! I am Ms. Del Rio one of the new teachers here at Kennedy. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood at Northern Arizona University. After graduating in December, I had the pleasure of teaching 3rd grade for the remainder of the school year at Kennedy.

Being a former student from the Roosevelt School District felt like home and that is why I decided to stay in the district and teach. I love creating art, traveling, Disney, candy, and watching movies.

I believe it is important to build a community of learners. Allow students to work together and spread positivity in the school community. Although this will be my very first year teaching 1st grade, I am thrilled to still be part of the Kennedy family!

Hello! My name is Anabel Medina. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in Yuma with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and I obtained my Master’s in Multicultural Education in 2002. I have been a teacher for 22 years. I taught kindergarten for sixteen years, and this is my sixth year teaching first grade. I have taught at John F. Kennedy for 18 years.

I am originally from San Luis Sonora Mexico. I have lived in Arizona since 1986 and moved to Phoenix in 2002. My family lives here in Arizona. I have two brothers, one sister, three nephews, and one niece.  Some of my favorite things to do are eating out, shopping, reading, watching movies, spending time with my family, and walking my dog Sunny.

I am so happy to be part of the Kennedy family. “Always Be Your Best!”
