• COVID-19 Vaccinations available to students, families

    The Roosevelt School District is proud to partner with community organizations to offer vaccines to our students, families and South Phoenix community. Through these partnerships, vaccination PODs will be set up at Bernard Black, I.G. Conchos, P.L. Julian and Valley View schools on select dates this summer. More information about each vaccine site is below. The COVID-19 vaccine is available for free to all eligible age groups. Proof of insurance is not required.

    Answers to your questions about the vaccine

    Join us in one week for a discussion about the COVID-19 vaccine presented in partnership with Southwest Behavioral & Health Services. Dr. Francisco Moreno will cover, how the vaccine works, why it's important to get your vaccine, if your children need to get it and if it's safe to get if you're pregnant. This free zoom event starts at 5 p.m. on June 10 and will be presented in English and Spanish. More information is avaialble on this flyer.

  • Bernard Black Vaccination POD

    The Phoenix Union High School District and RSD will provide three opportunities this summer for all individuals 12 years of age and older to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The Spread Love, Not COVID: Student Edition vaccination event will accept advanced registrations and walk-ins. Trusted community partners will provide additional resources and services to students and families at each event.

    Event 2 - Pfizer Vaccine Dose 1 and 2

    July 9 | Noon - 7 p.m.
    July 10 | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    School-aged children will receive a free backpack and school supplies while supplies last.

    Event 3 - Pfizer Vaccine Dose 2

    July 30 | Noon - 7 p.m.
    July 31 | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    This event will offer families other resources and medical services in addition to the Pfizer vaccine.

  • Percy L. Julian and Valley View Vaccination PODs

    The Equality Health Foundation, HeroZona Foundation and community partners are coming together to offer COVID-19 vaccines to all our community members. Anyone 12 years old and older can receive the Pfizer vaccine, proof of insurance is not required. No appointments are necessary, walk-ups are welcome, but you can save time and pre-register online or call 888-587-3647. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available to anyone 18 and older as well.

  • Ignacio G. Conchos Vaccination POD

    Valle del Sol is offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to anyone 12. Individuals wishing to be vaccinated are encouraged to pre-register online. Walk-ups are welcome but not guaranteed. The vaccines are offered at no cost to all community members, with no copay or financial burden for administering the vaccine. Valle del Sol asks that anyone interested bring a form of ID for age verification. For more information, call 602-258-6797 or visit their website.

  • Back to school and sports physicals

    This summer, Mountain Park Health Center is offering back-to-school and sports physicals to South Phoenix families. The physicals have no out of pocket cost for AHCCCS Participants. Others may pay up to $3, based on income. They are also offering free COVID-19 vaccines to the community. Mountain Park Health will be giving away a free backpack with every physical or first vaccine dose until Sept. 4.
