Roosevelt staff were welcomed back for a new school year on Aug. 4 at the Academies at South Mountain. Superintendent Dr. Dani Portillo spoke about this year’s Wildly Important Goal, keynote speaker Trisha DiFazio talked about engaging students, staff and schools were recognized for their achievements, and Sunland students performed “The Circle of Life.”
