COVID-19 Update

As we continue to support our community throughout the pandemic, we wanted to share an update of the practices that are in place.  We’ve broken them down into three categories.  Practices that we have continued, those we have scaled back, and those that have been discontinued.  As I’ve continued to share, everything is dependent on context as we are prepared to shift and respond to the ever-changing landscape.

Continued

  • Breakfast in the classroom instead of the cafeteria
  • Half-campus assemblies instead of whole in cafeteria
  • Washing hands consistently
  • Using Zoom for parent and IEP meetings
  • QR codes for sign-ins; more contactless or digital documentation
  • Rapid testing in health offices
    Use of masks for all sicknesses
  • More deep cleaning and sanitization
  • Utilizing separate playgrounds at recess

Scaled Back

  • Zoom for internal and external meetings
  • Plexiglass for front offices

Discontinued

  • Cohorting students
  • One-way hallways
  • Limited seating in cafeteria
  • Plexiglass in classrooms Socially-distanced seating in classrooms
  • Restrictions on transportation, field trips, after-school sports/activities, community events
  • Pool testing
