Roosevelt Elementary School District No. 66 of Maricopa County, Arizona (the “District”), held a special district additional assistance budget override election (formerly known as a capital outlay budget override election) on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. The District sought authorization to exceed its district additional assistance budget by the lesser of $5,134,610 or 10% of its revenue control limit. The estimated first year tax rate for the proposed district additional assistance budget override is $0.70 per $100 of net assessed valuation used for secondary property tax purposes. The Maricopa County School Superintendent prepared an informational pamphlet that was mailed to households containing one or more registered electors within the District. Any persons wishing to submit an argument “for” or “against” the district additional assistance budget override question (not to exceed 200 words) did so by mail or hand delivery of the argument to the Maricopa County School Superintendent, School Elections Office, 4041 N. Central Avenue, Suite 1200, Phoenix, AZ 85012; telephone: (602) 506-3866. Electronic submissions are also available online.
To be included in the informational pamphlet, such argument must have been received in the office of the Maricopa County School Superintendent on or before 5:00 p.m., August 6, 2021. Such argument must have been signed and included the name of the District, the author’s name, the name of any entity submitting an argument, address and telephone number. The entity and author’s name were printed in the informational pamphlet. The last day to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in that election was Monday, October 4, 2021. M&O Request for Arguements

Roosevelt Elementary School District No. 66 of Maricopa County, Arizona (the “District”), held a special 15% maintenance and operation budget override election on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. The total 15% budget override amount for the first year of the proposed continuation is estimated to be $6,963,400 and would be funded in that year by an estimated $0.94 tax rate per $100 of net assessed valuation used for secondary property tax purposes which is approximately equal to the current secondary tax rate for the existing budget override. The Maricopa County School Superintendent prepared an informational pamphlet that was mailed to households containing one or more registered electors within the District. Any persons wishing to submit an argument “for” or “against” the proposed 15% budget override (not to exceed 200 words) did so by mail or hand delivery of the argument to the Maricopa County School Superintendent, School Elections Office, 4041 N. Central Avenue, Suite 1200, Phoenix, AZ 85012; telephone: (602) 506-3866. Electronic submissions are also available online.
