Due to today’s weather conditions, our Transportation Department is closely monitoring the situation to ensure student safety. Please expect possible delays in pick-up and drop-off times this afternoon, as our drivers take extra precautions while operating in the rain.

We kindly ask that a parent or guardian be present to meet your student at their bus stop, especially for our younger riders. Weather conditions can impact visibility, and your presence helps ensure a safe and smooth drop-off for every child.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to transport all students safely. Updates will be shared if conditions change or if any routes experience significant delays.

The Roosevelt School District is aware of the current challenges related to bus scheduling and is actively working to resolve the matter. The health and safety of our students remain our highest priority, and we are committed to promptly addressing any discrepancies to ensure timely arrivals and departures to and from our schools.

We appreciate your patience and partnership as we work through this issue. The Roosevelt School District Transportation Department will provide updates through The RSD App as needed. Currently, RSD is actively seeking additional school bus drivers. If you know someone interested in driving for RSD, we offer training to help candidates become licensed CDL bus drivers. For more information, please see our job postings at www.rsd66.org/page/work-for-rsd

In addition, we are working to secure contracted drivers from approved vendors to help maintain consistent pupil transportation routes. We remain committed to actively pursuing solutions that ensure reliable service for our students.

We deeply appreciate the communication from our parents and community. Your input, understanding, and patience are invaluable as we continue to make improvements. Please know that we are listening and working diligently toward lasting solutions.
