Our Jr. Chefs from Irene Lopez Academy of the Arts had an amazing, hands-on experience thanks to our incredible Child Nutrition Services team, Student Wellness team, and local community partner, and proud RSD alum, It's Juicy Juice Bar!

Students learned how to whip up delicious and nutritious smoothies, gaining valuable skills and knowledge about healthy eating habits. To top it all off, each Jr. Chef was gifted their very own personal blender from the Student Wellness team!

This fun and educational event was a perfect blend of wellness, creativity, and community. Roosevelt School District is proud to create a Culture of Performance.

Students are collaborating with automotive professionals to analyze and build car models. Local artist Adrian Garcia brought a vibrant energy to Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School with an incredible mural that symbolizes hope, unity, and the bright future of our community. The stunning artwork features a majestic monarch butterfly the mascot of MLK, while beautifully incorporating the colors and feathers of the eagle, representing Percy L. Julian School.

This mural not only celebrates the strength and resilience of our local families but also serves as a reminder that together, we can soar to new heights. Even more special, students from MLK were there to help add the finishing touches, making this a true collaboration between the artist and the next generation.

In celebration of National Native American Heritage Month, John R. Davis School had the honor of welcoming members of the Gila River Indian Community for a special performance of their traditional basket dance. With excitement and enthusiasm, students joined in the lively rhythm of the dance, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere. It was a memorable event for all, marking the fourth consecutive year that the Gila River Indian Community has shared their culture with the school, fostering a spirit of unity and learning.
