Guardrail 2 Progress Monitoring Update | March 3, 2026

At the March Governing Board Meeting, Roosevelt School District Superintendent Dr. Dani Portillo provided an update on the interim goals for Superintendent Guardrail #2.

Guardrail 2

In attaining the Board’s student outcome goals, the Superintendent shall not fail to consider climate survey results to ensure a holistic approach to student development, addressing academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being which includes after-school programming and wraparound services.

Interim Guardrail 1

By August 2025, establish Superintendent Student, Parent, Staff, and Community Advisory Councils that engage in yearly analyses of climate survey results to make actionable recommendations.

Interim Guardrail 3

By December 2025, ensure that at least 50% of schools host a nutrition information and tasting session for students and parents. Each session will educate families, allow for food sampling, and collect feedback to improve child nutrition services.

    • February 2024: Sunland and Barr

    • September 2025: Conchos
