The event will take place at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School

The event officially begins with a community march in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Come out to honor his legacy and strengthen community bonds through a day of celebration, education, and inspiration.

Today, Friday, January 10, 2025, John F. Kennedy Academy of Inquiry had a lockdown drill. To ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff members, lockdown drills are common practice. The lockdown drill was at 1:00 and lasted for 23-minutes. Other than this interruption, the school day proceeded normally with minimal disruption to learning. The safety and well-being of students and staff members are our highest priority at John F. Kennedy Academy of Inquiry.

I am thrilled to announce Story School for 0-5 year olds and a family member will start on Wednesday, January 22nd at John F. Kennedy’s Family Center. This is an English/Spanish reading program with a teacher from Make Way for Books! Classes will be held Monday + Wednesday from 9-10am. Roosevelt’s annual MLK Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School-4615 S. 22nd St. The community march begins at 9:45. We would love to see you there!

Our South Side Secret Santas came through again this year and brought 100 gifts to our Kennedy and Greenfield families in need. Our families appreciate you so much!
