At Greenfield- open to Kennedy families today 1-3:30pm.

Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to build your child’s home library with new books they’ll dive into again and again.

The easiest way to let your child shop the Fair independently is by creating an eWallet. It’s easy to set up and easy for others to add funds. Create an eWallet, and you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to Share the Fair - the giving program that supports students at our school who need help buying books. Consider participating so that no child leaves the Fair empty-handed! https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/cogreenfieldschool

Here’s everything else you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: March 23–27
Location: Room 218
Book Fair After-hours: Wednesday, March 25 from 2–4 p.m.
For full details and to create an eWallet, visit our school’s Book Fair homepage

More than ever, we need to get students reading. Studies prove that children with more books at home have higher-level reading skills, and attain more years of education overall.

Happy reading,
C.O. Greenfield Student Council

🛡️ Kindergarten Personal Safety Lesson – March 3, 2026

Dear Kindergarten Families,

On Tuesday, March 3, our Student Wellness Department will visit kindergarten classrooms to present a child-friendly personal safety lesson.

This developmentally appropriate lesson will focus on:
• Understanding personal space and body boundaries
• Recognizing safe vs. unsafe touching
• Identifying trusted adults
• Practicing how to say “no” and ask for help

The lesson will include an age-appropriate story and guided discussion presented in a supportive and sensitive manner. Our goal is to empower students with simple language and skills that help them understand body safety and feel confident seeking support from safe adults.

If you prefer that your child not participate, please notify your child’s teacher by Monday, March 2, 2026, and an alternative activity will be provided.

If you have any questions, please contact the front office. Thank you for partnering with us to support the safety and well-being of our scholars. 💛

Black History Month with Red, Yellow and Green background.

90% of the brain develops before age 5.

Free bilingual 8 week reading program for families with children 0-5 years old at John F. Kennedy Family Center. Thursday's from 8:30-9:30am February 19th for 7 weeks. You will have a specialized teacher that will provide 12 books, make and take crafts, music and movement and healthy snacks.

Decades of research show that children learn best when their families are active partners. Reading routines strengthen parent–child bonds, build language, and support emotional well-being.
The brain is most flexible and adaptable to learning during the earliest years.
