We want to make you aware of a situation that was reported to us regarding a student who, during a disagreement with a peer, made an inappropriate comment about bringing a weapon to school and suggested that others not attend the following day.
In accordance with our established safety protocols, the matter was immediately reported to the City of Phoenix Police for investigation. After a thorough review, it was determined that the comment did not pose a credible threat.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. We ask that you take a moment to remind your child about the importance of choosing their words carefully. Even remarks made out of frustration can cause unnecessary concern and will always be taken seriously. Counseling support is available upon request.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all members of the Valley View community.
Sincerely,
Mr. Mitchell
Principal
