Good Morning Valley View Families,
This is a reminder that our Winter Band Concert for kindergarten through eighth grade students will take place this evening in the gymnasium at 5:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating our students’ hard work and musical accomplishments.
We hope to see you there!

We are reaching out to address a growing concern that is significantly impacting students’ instructional time. Recently, many students have been checked out early, often just before their intervention classes. These sessions are critical in helping students build the skills needed to close academic gaps and ensure they are meeting grade-level expectations.
With only 53 instructional days remaining before AASA testing begins, it is essential that students are present for the full school day. Therefore, we will be implementing a strict checkout cutoff time of 1:30 PM. After 1:30 PM, early checkouts will not be permitted except in the case of a true family emergency.
Early checkouts not only hinder student progress, but they also disrupt classroom instruction and impact the entire learning community. Our goal is to give every student the best possible opportunity to succeed, and consistent attendance is a key part of that effort.
We kindly ask for your partnership in avoiding unnecessary early checkouts and ensuring your child remains on campus for the full instructional day.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Sincerely,
Mr. Mitchell
Principal
