Dear Valley View Families,

We want to make you aware of a situation that was reported to us regarding a student who, during a disagreement with a peer, made an inappropriate comment about bringing a weapon to school and suggested that others not attend the following day.

In accordance with our established safety protocols, the matter was immediately reported to the City of Phoenix Police for investigation. After a thorough review, it was determined that the comment did not pose a credible threat.

The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. We ask that you take a moment to remind your child about the importance of choosing their words carefully. Even remarks made out of frustration can cause unnecessary concern and will always be taken seriously. Counseling support is available upon request.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all members of the Valley View community.

Sincerely,

Mr. Mitchell

Dear Eagle Families,

I am pleased to share that the HVAC units in our gymnasium have been repaired and are currently functioning as expected. At this time, we are closely monitoring the system to ensure that temperatures remain consistently regulated with the newly installed parts.

Once we are confident that the climate is stable, physical education classes will resume in the gym tomorrow, and all after-school activities will continue as scheduled.

We truly appreciate your patience and support as we worked through these challenges, and we are excited to welcome our students back into a safe and comfortable learning environment.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

Sincerely,

Queridas Familias Eagle,

Good Evening Eagle Families,

I want to provide you with an update regarding the HVAC system in our gymnasium. Crews from both the district office and a contracted company have been working diligently throughout the day to improve the climate in the space. The parts that were previously on order arrived and have now been installed.
Unfortunately, the company has identified additional issues which will require another part. They were able to achieve a temporary solution, and we are monitoring to ensure that the cool temperature can be sustained.
Out of an abundance of caution, students will remain indoors in classrooms with a functioning AC until the final repairs are completed and we can confirm that cool temperatures are consistently maintained.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we work toward a long-term solution.

Sincerely,
Mr. Mitchell

Atentamente,
