Roxanna Figueroa and David Mateo came to talk to our 8th graders about preparing for college classes in high school. Their suggestions included keeping a high grade point average, applying for scholarships, joining clubs and connecting with counselors to take college credits. They also talked about the ASU campuses and answered questions about different majors. Our students were able to receive ASU swag!
Thank you to Dr. Banks for letting me set up all of the guest speakers this year!

Our Greenfield students went to Williams, AZ in March! Thank you to Mr. Matlaga for organizing and to all the teachers that volunteered!
MVP Foundation is a private organization created to give at-risk students a fun weekend by taking them out of their usual environment into the snow and wooded hills in the mountains above Williams Arizona.
Students spend the weekend doing activities that are designed to get them to focus on their futures, what motivates and drives them, defining what success means, and where they might like to take their lives. It is a trip that generates life-long memories in students who go, and Greenfield has been participating for 7 trips North (during the post-covid era they went to Williams twice in one school year).
They go on a chartered bus on the Friday of the third week of March, and spend the weekend up, returning on Sunday around 2 PM. It's two nights and three days of fun and memories.
