Our Greenfield students went to Williams, AZ in March! Thank you to Mr. Matlaga for organizing and to all the teachers that volunteered! MVP Foundation is a private organization created to give at-risk students a fun weekend by taking them out of their usual environment into the snow and wooded hills in the mountains above Williams Arizona. Students spend the weekend doing activities that are designed to get them to focus on their futures, what motivates and drives them, defining what success means, and where they might like to take their lives. It is a trip that generates life-long memories in students who go, and Greenfield has been participating for 7 trips North (during the post-covid era they went to Williams twice in one school year). They go on a chartered bus on the Friday of the third week of March, and spend the weekend up, returning on Sunday around 2 PM. It's two nights and three days of fun and memories. #cogreenfield #mvpfoundation #middleschool #academy #youthempowerment

This month in ESS (Education Support System)Resource (4th and 5th grade), our theme is Science! In Earth Science, we've been exploring the three main types of rocks: Metamorphic, Igneous, and Sedimentary. One of our students brought in a fascinating sedimentary rock to share with the class as an example—what a great contribution! Thank you to our incredible students for their enthusiasm and curiosity!
