Keep Your Child's Smile Healthy with Cavity Free AZ!
Thursday, April 16th at Kennedy. Grades: K and 2nd
Did you know that tooth decay is the most common preventable chronic childhood disease? Left untreated, it can lead to serious medical health issues. That’s why the Maricopa County Department of Public Health’s Cavity Free AZ team will be on campus to help Kinder and 2nd grade students!
We provide safe and effective preventative dental services to protect your child’s smile by preventing tooth decay and stopping cavities from growing. Our services include:
Basic Dental Screening (Kinder and 2nd grades): A visual check of teeth and gums to look for concerns.

Fluoride Varnish (Kinder's only): Strengthens teeth and helps prevent cavities.
Dental Sealants (2nd graders only): A protective coating that shields molar teeth from decay.

Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to build your child’s home library with new books they’ll dive into again and again.
The easiest way to let your child shop the Fair independently is by creating an eWallet. It’s easy to set up and easy for others to add funds. Create an eWallet, and you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to Share the Fair - the giving program that supports students at our school who need help buying books. Consider participating so that no child leaves the Fair empty-handed! https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/cogreenfieldschool
Here’s everything else you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: March 23–27
Location: Room 218
Book Fair After-hours: Wednesday, March 25 from 2–4 p.m.
For full details and to create an eWallet, visit our school’s Book Fair homepage
More than ever, we need to get students reading. Studies prove that children with more books at home have higher-level reading skills, and attain more years of education overall.
Happy reading,
C.O. Greenfield Student Council

Dear Kindergarten Families,
On Tuesday, March 3, our Student Wellness Department will visit kindergarten classrooms to present a child-friendly personal safety lesson.
This developmentally appropriate lesson will focus on:
• Understanding personal space and body boundaries
• Recognizing safe vs. unsafe touching
• Identifying trusted adults
• Practicing how to say “no” and ask for help
The lesson will include an age-appropriate story and guided discussion presented in a supportive and sensitive manner. Our goal is to empower students with simple language and skills that help them understand body safety and feel confident seeking support from safe adults.
If you prefer that your child not participate, please notify your child’s teacher by Monday, March 2, 2026, and an alternative activity will be provided.
If you have any questions, please contact the front office. Thank you for partnering with us to support the safety and well-being of our scholars. 💛
