Bus Route Update Sept. 3
This afternoon, we are making temporary adjustments to a few transportation routes to ensure safe and timely student drop-off.
Routes 303 and 304 will ride together on Bus 110.
Please allow for a slight variance in the route schedule, as some buses are covering additional stops. We will continue to monitor routes and provide updates as needed.
Please see attached MOWR (Move on When Reading) letter which informs you about our Arizona Law regarding your child's reading progress and how we plan to support them as a campus.

ASU America Reads is a FREE program that partners with local schools and community centers to offer tutoring, college readiness, and academic skill-building services to children, kindergarten through eighth grade.

Bus Update - Aug. 25, 2025
All Kennedy bus routes are running on time today. Please ensure your student is at their stop at their regularly scheduled time.
Thank you for your continued cooperation in helping us keep student transportation safe and reliable.
Bus Route Updates: Aug. 22
To improve efficiency and ensure timely service, Route 301 will be absorbed by other routes beginning today. Please review the updated pickup locations and times below:
Route 303 will cover
7:30 a.m. – Old Southern Ave & S 8th Pl
7:32 a.m. – 740 E Alta Vista Rd
Route 304 will cover
7:23 a.m. – 5607 S 7th St
7:28 a.m. – 711 E Roeser Rd
Route 202 will cover
7:27 a.m. – E Kirstie Ln & S 10th St
7:29 a.m. – 9th St & E Pecan Rd
7:32 a.m. – 5900 S 9th St (by alley)
7:34 a.m. – E Southern Ave & S 8th St
Please have your student at their stop a few minutes early, as times may vary slightly during this adjustment period. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we work to provide safe and reliable transportation for all students.

Any child of school age (2-18) can be scheduled at any one of nine clinics to come get their physical at no cost until August 30th. If a child does not have insurance, they first schedule them with the eligibility team at no cost and will then schedule their no cost physical.
We want to make sure families take advantage of this to begin and continue their school year as healthy as possible.
Things a back-to-school/sports physical include:
• A well-child check-up
• Vision and hearing exam
• Optional visits with a registered dietitian or behavioral health specialist
• Sports physicals with all AIA paperwork included
• And more!

For the safety and independence of our scholars, we are asking that only ALC and Pre-Kindergarten parents walk students to and from their classrooms during arrival and dismissal.
Parents of all other grades ( kindergarten - 3rd grade) may walk students to the front gate or use the vehicle drop-off lane, where our wonderful Kennedy staff will be ready to guide them safely to class. 💙

Free 8 week reading program in English and Spanish for 0-5 year olds and their parent. This is available to the first 15 families that sign up. Classes will be in the Kennedy Family Center starting September 4th on Thursday’s 8:30-9:30am. Their teacher will have story time, music, crafts and snacks.
Brain development is most rapid during the first five years of life, with 90% of brain growth occurring by age 5. We had a lot of fun last year!
