Dear Irene Lopez Families,
We are excited to share that the re-enrollment window for the 2026–2027 school year is now open. We kindly ask that you take a few moments to re-enroll your child at Irene Lopez as soon as possible.
Re-enrollment is extremely important, as it helps us plan and prepare to best serve our students and families. Your response directly impacts our ability to:
· Staff classrooms with the appropriate number of grade-level teachers
· Plan for resource teachers and specialized services
· Ensure adequate support in speech, hearing, and special education
· Plan class sizes, programs, and enrichment opportunities
· Ensure we have all the necessary supplies, curriculum and resources needed for our students which includes technology.
Simply put, every area of our school is affected by enrollment numbers. Even if you are still considering your plans for next year, completing the re-enrollment process now will greatly support our planning and help us prepare an exciting and successful school year for all students.
Re-enrollment can be completed easily:
· From the comfort of your home or workplace online
· In person at our front office if you need assistance
We are also excited to invite you to a Family Fun Night and Re-Enrollment Support Event:
Tuesday, February 4 5:00-6:30 p.m. Irene Lopez Elementary School
Families who have completed the re-enrollment process are invited to attend and enjoy a fun evening of activities. We will also have staff available that night to assist with re-enrollment for anyone who still needs to re-enroll. However, families who complete re-enrollment ahead of time will be able to fully enjoy the activities without needing to complete paperwork.
Your partnership is essential, and your timely re-enrollment helps us plan, staff, and prepare for a strong 2026–2027 school year. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you to our Family Fun Night.
Sincerely,
Sylvia Miller Principal
We are happy to share some positive news with you regarding our campus.
The repair work related to the storm damage earlier this school year has been successfully completed. Our classrooms and learning spaces have been fully repaired, cleaned, and restored, and we are excited to transition staff and students back into their permanent classrooms.
This process required careful planning and coordination, and we are grateful for the patience and flexibility during this time. The Facilities Department and staff will be spending time ensuring classrooms are fully set up and ready so that students return to organized, welcoming learning spaces.
Please know that student safety remains our top priority, and all repairs were completed in accordance with district standards and safety expectations. We are proud to welcome our students back into refreshed spaces that support learning, creativity, and growth.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the front office.
We look forward to a strong and successful start as we continue the school year together.
Sincerely,
Sylvia Miller
Principal
Irene Lopez Elementary School
