Good Afternoon Eagle Families,

Proud to be an EAGLE...Then show it,

Don’t just say it—display it!

Every Wednesday, students have the opportunity to show their Eagle Pride by wearing a Valley View Eagles shirt with their uniform pants.

Don’t have an Eagles shirt? No problem! Eagles shirts are available for purchase in the front office for $15.

Let’s fill the campus with Eagle Pride every Wednesday!

Good Morning, Eagle Families,

As many of you know, we have been experiencing extreme heat conditions over the past two weeks. With temperatures this high, it is important that we take preventative measures to help keep our students safe and comfortable while they are at school.

I am asking for your support with the following:

Please avoid sending students to school in hoodies, sweatshirts, or other heavy layers while we are experiencing these extreme temperatures. Additional layers can cause students to become overheated quickly.
Please send your child with a water bottle each day. Staying properly hydrated is especially important during periods of extreme heat and helps students remain comfortable and focused throughout the school day.
If your child has a medical or other health-related need that requires additional accommodations during periods of extreme heat, please communicate that with the school so we can ensure we are providing appropriate support.

Living in the desert certainly comes with its challenges! While we can't control what our Arizona weather brings us, we can take simple steps to help protect our students.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Eagles safe, healthy, hydrated, and ready to learn during these extreme temperatures.

Respectfully,

Mr. Mitchell

Dear Eagle Families,

I want to inform you that Valley View Leadership Academy conducted a Lockdown Drill today as part of our ongoing commitment to the safety and security of our students and staff.

In accordance with state requirements, schools are required to conduct safety drills periodically throughout the school year. These drills are designed to ensure that students and staff understand how to respond appropriately and calmly in the event of an emergency.

During a lockdown drill, students and staff practice procedures such as:

Remaining calm and following directions from staff.
Securing and remaining inside classrooms or designated areas.
Maintaining a quiet and orderly environment.
Understanding that drills are practice opportunities and not actual emergencies.

We recognize that safety drills can sometimes cause questions or concerns, particularly for younger students. Our staff works to conduct these drills in an age-appropriate manner while reinforcing that the purpose is preparation, not fear. We want our students to feel safe, informed, and confident in knowing that the adults around them are prepared to respond should an emergency occur.

We appreciate your partnership in supporting our safety procedures. If your child has questions about today's drill, we encourage you to talk with them about the importance of following directions, remaining calm, and trusting the adults responsible for their safety.

The safety of our Eagles is always our highest priority. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Respectfully,

Dear Eagle Families,

First and foremost, I want to thank you for choosing Valley View Leadership Academy. We truly appreciate the trust you have placed in us and are honored to partner with you in your child's educational journey. We recognize that selecting a school is an important decision, and we are committed to providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment where every child can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
As partners, we also ask that you trust us to educate the whole child. Our teachers and staff are experienced professionals who work hard each day to build strong relationships, establish routines, and create classrooms where every student feels supported and successful.

We understand that the first days of school can be emotional, for both children and parents. That is why we welcomed families onto campus during the first three days of school to help students transition into their new environment. We appreciate your cooperation and support during that time.

Beginning now, we ask that parents say their goodbyes at the designated drop-off area and allow students to walk to class with the assistance of our staff. While it may be difficult at first, this transition is an important step in helping children develop confidence, independence, and resilience.

When parents remain on campus or outside classrooms after drop-off, students often become more emotional and have a harder time separating. This can unintentionally delay classroom routines and make it more challenging for teachers to begin instruction and support all students. A quick hug, a reassuring smile, and a confident goodbye often lead to the smoothest transitions for our young learners.

Please know that if your child needs additional support, our teachers and staff are prepared to provide comfort, encouragement, and reassurance. Most students settle into their routines within just a few minutes after their parents leave.

Thank you for your continued partnership, understanding, and trust. Together, we can provide the best possible start to your child's educational experience.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am always happy to help.

Thank you for being a valued part of the Valley View family.

Dear Eagle Families,

It was wonderful seeing so many of you at Meet the Teacher Night! Thank you for taking the time to visit our campus. We are excited to welcome our Eagles back for an amazing school year and can't wait to see everyone bright and early on Monday morning.

As a reminder, campus gates will open at 7:00 AM. Students will not be permitted on campus before that time, as we do not have staff available to supervise them prior to 7:00 AM.

School will dismiss at 2:30 PM. Students will be released according to their designated mode of transportation:

Walkers and bus riders will exit through the back gates.
Parent pick-up students will exit through the front of the school.

Please be patient during afternoon dismissal, especially during the first few days of school, as our drive line may take a little longer than usual. Our staff will work diligently to ensure the process is as safe and efficient as possible.

We also ask for your partnership in keeping our campus safe by following these important reminders:

Please drive slowly and obey all posted speed limits while on campus and in the surrounding school zone.
Do not park in bus loading zones or staff parking areas. These areas must remain clear to ensure the safe arrival and dismissal of our students.
By working together and following these procedures, we can provide a safe, welcoming, and organized environment for every Eagle.
Thank you for your continued support. We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday for the first day of school!

Have a great day, the EAGLE WAY!

Meet the Teacher Night
Good Morning, Eagle Families,

As a reminder, Meet the Teacher Night is tomorrow, and we are excited to welcome everyone back to Valley View Leadership Academy!

We will be selling Valley View spirit shirts for $15 during the event. We encourage all families to purchase a shirt and show their Eagle pride throughout the school year.

Beginning this school year, every Wednesday will be a Valley View Pride Day. Students wearing an official Valley View spirit shirt may pair it with their school uniform bottoms as part of our Early Release Wednesday tradition.

Please note that Wednesdays are the only day students may be slightly out of uniform. Students who do not have a Valley View spirit shirt are expected to wear their regular school uniform on Wednesdays, just as they would on any other school day.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening and can't wait to kick off another amazing year together!
