8th Grade Prevention Program Opportunity
Hello Conchos Parents,
We are excited to share an important opportunity for our 8th grade students. Southwest Behavioral Health will be providing a prevention program focused on e-cigarette awareness and strategies to reduce vaping among students.
The program will take place on Mondays from 2:00–2:50 p.m. during the school day and is designed to educate students on the risks of e-cigarette use and promote healthy decision-making.
If you do not want your child to participate in this program, please notify the front office or contact me directly using the information listed below. A permission slip will be sent home with your student. If you do not want your student to participate, please return it signed to identify those whom will not participate.
If we do not receive a returned permission slip, your student will participate in the program.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 4th, 5th and 6th. Kindergarten through 6th grade teachers will schedule individual conferences through the Sign Up Genius Link posted in their Rooms.
Conference Schedule:

Seventh and eighth grade teachers will be in the cafeteria, so you can see each of your child’s teachers.
It is critical that you attend if your child was showing signs of difficulty and has been identified as needing immediate interventions in any of the content areas during their mid-quarter progress report.
Please note: Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 4th, 5th and 6th.

If your child will be bringing treats to these festivities, we kindly request that they bring them to school in the morning, rather than having them delivered during the school day. This prevents interruptions to classroom instruction during the school day. Students will not be called out of class to pick up Valentines cards or treats.
